Storki
The perfect reading platform for your daily tram rides

Traditional literature in a form tailored to the needs of the 21st century teenagers.
Problem statement

Problem statement

In 2016, Albatros Media, the largest publishing group in Czechia, organised the first HumbookFest, a festival aiming to bring literature and reading in general closer to today’s children and youth. Two years later, the publisher decided to create an innovative digital product for mainly this target audience.

The power of visuals

The development of this exciting app also included custom design. With the aim to make a clear yet elegant connection between Storki and HumbookFest, we selected the paintbrush lines on the festival’s website and reinterpreted them when designing the app’s user interface.

And so we teamed up and started working on Storki, a mobile app for Android and iOS, which allows you to read dialogues and short stories in the form of a Messenger conversation.

Apart from consuming quality literature in this innovative form, users can also create a profile, subscribe to their favourite authors and write and share stories of their own.

Famous dialogues of renowned Czech authors, all divided into different genre categories, can now be brought to life again by tapping on the screen.

Review from Google Play

„Pixelfield helped our idea for mobile app become reality. They have been doing a great job during the whole collaboration, from design and user interface, to the delivery of functioning app and support during its opration.

We are very happy with the outcome, users’ reviews are great. We continue to develop the app with Pixelfield and already working together on new projects.“
